Reasons to buy

Take strategic business decisions using historic and forecast market data related to the Italian travel and tourism sector.
Understand the demand-side dynamics within the Italian travel and tourism sector, along with key market trends and growth opportunities.

Key highlights

Italy’s economy has struggled since 2008, and entered into a third recessionary phase in August 2014, after negative growth in the second quarter of 2014. The contracting economy makes it more difficult for Italy to reduce its heavy public debt, which is likely to reach 135% of GDP in 2014. Projected weak economic growth will continue to have adverse affects on the travel and tourism sector over the forecast period. However, direct tourism employment as a percentage of total employment, which has been rising since 2011, is expected to continue to do so over the forecast period. The overall unemployment rate in Italy stood at 12.0% in 2013, while youth unemployment was more than 35%.
Italy has recorded a rise in the number of visitors from Brazil, Russia, India and China, the BRIC countries. During the review period, tourists from China, Russia and Brazil increased at CAGRs of 15.2%, 15.9% and 5.6% respectively. The Italian government and tourism promotion agencies have been making efforts to attract tourists from these countries. For instance, to attract tourists from China, in 2014 Italy announced a reduction in the processing time for a tourist visa from five days to 36 hours. Italy opened a national tourism board office in Mumbai, India, in 2013.

Non Caloric Sweeteners - Market Trends and Insights | Researchmoz

ResearchMoz.us include new market research report"Non Caloric Sweeteners - Market Trends and Insights" to its huge collection of research reports.

Summary

A comprehensive review of current and future non caloric sweeteners ingredients. The report investigates sweetener consumption drivers, ingredient industry players, soft drink sweetener consumptions and trends. Status with specific focus on global soft drink consumption patterns and influential global or regional brands. The report overviews the soft drink consumption patterns as well as describes individual sweetener ingredients by their usage, manufacturing and regulatory situations.

Key Findings

Amongst non-caloric sweeteners Aspartame is on a decline by losing minus 0.9 % growth annually in the global market within the coming three years.
The highest growth, as well as significant volumes, is observed in Acesulfame K and Sucralose within soft drinks; whereas Stevia Sweeteners still have some way before becoming mainstream.
- Sugared soft drinks still have the overhand in terms of consumption volumes, with XX million tons sugars consumed in 2013. In comparison the non-caloric sweeteners in soft drinks represents only XX million tons - or XX% of the total global soft drinks consumptions of sugar equivalents by weight (SEW).
- Synthetic sweeteners Ace-K and Sucralose are still the preferred choice in new soft drink innovations - Aspartame is losing out and Steviosides are gaining more ground. The opportunities to focus on in soft drinks are ice teas, hydrating sports drinks, fruit powders, and functional drinks.
- Soft Drinks manufacturers are facing demands for soft drinks with reduced sugar per serving in most markets. Sugar reduction is a major activity- but not always one for one sugar equivalent to be replaced with non-caloric sweeteners. Types of sweeteners used have become more diverse and have forced brands owners to gain formulation and price point expertise in many different non-caloric sweetener systems.
- The sweetener industry is actively gearing towards consolidating global market positions, as well as having diverse new business investments in new non-caloric sweeteners.
- With the very volatile and dynamic market of non-caloric sweeteners, the activity of patent filings is an important tool for long term protection of investments.
- Carbonated sodas are by far the largest market for non-caloric sweeteners, followed by powdered drinks, ice teas, and RTD sports drinks
- Geographical differences in sweetener choices are related to regulatory, traditional, and cost pricing issues.

Synopsis

Demand for sweeteners is expected to continue its steady growth as a result of increased focus on sugar calories in more and more markets. The sweetener industry is up for dynamic changes, as currently a number of new options are available after years of relative stable ingredient assortments. The fact that a number of these sweeteners are from plant-derived sources is aligned with the current consumer trend toward all things natural, and this can only mean a positive future for these ingredient types. Many factors influence future non-caloric sweetener consumption globally, amongst the key factors are: consumer attitudes and beliefs, global and regional soft drink brands expanding into new markets, product innovation, supply capacity and prices, and regulatory restrictions and opportunities. Consumption patterns within soft drink categories are changing and affecting the demand situations of sweeteners, as well as sugar reduction drivers such as taxation, ingredient prices and capacities, and formulation capabilities.

Power Sources for the Internet-of-Things | Researchmoz

ResearchMoz.us include new market research report"Power Sources for the Internet-of-Things: Markets and Strategies" to its huge collection of research reports.

NanoMarkets believes that the deployments of sensors and processors for theInternet-of-Things (IoT) are creating huge new opportunities for manufacturers of power source devices. Because of IoT, power devices such as thin-film and printed batteries, energy harvesting modules, small flexible photovoltaics panels and thermoelectric sources, which have enjoyed marginal revenues up to now, may begin generating hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenues.

However, suppliers of IoT power sources, as well as the semiconductor industry more generally face significant uncertainties in the IoT space. Not only is future of the IoT itself unclear, but also how the IoT “power infrastructure” will shape up technologically is a great unknown.

The objective of this report is to identify where the money will be made and lost in the emergent IoT power source business. It begins with an assessment of the power requirements of the various devices that NanoMarkets believes will form the “things” in the IoT. These include sensor networks, MCUs/MPUs and tagging devices, for example. The report continues by considering how established technologies such as batteries will adapt to new IoT opportunities and whether emerging technologies such as energy harvesting and thermoelectric power sources will find their first big markets as the result of IoT.

Click Here To Get The Free Sample Of The Report

The report explores the opportunities for all industry sectors that will be impacted by the development of new power sources for the IoT. In particular we examine how leading battery companies, chipmakers, OEMs and others are preparing for the business opportunities in the IoT power source space. The report also discusses the strategies of eight firms that NanoMarkets believes will shape the market for power sources for the IoT over the next decade.

We believe that this report will be essential reading for business development and marketing executives in the battery, energy harvesting, RFID, sensors, photovoltaics and semiconductor industries, as well as the investment community. In addition to providing a thorough analysis of the IoT power source markets, this report also provides detailed eight-year forecasts of power sources for the IoT in both volume and value terms and with break outs by power source types.

Breast Cancer - Identifying and Commercializing First-in-Class Innovation

Exceptionally Large and Innovative Pipeline
The breast cancer pipeline is the largest in the pharmaceutical industry with 815 products in active development across all stages. The range of mechanisms of action employed by these compounds is also highly diverse, especially in comparison to the existing market landscape. More pertinently, the degree and proportion of breakthrough innovations in this pipeline is exceptional; GBI Research analysis identified 253 first-in-class programs in the breast cancer pipeline, acting on 176 first-in-class molecular targets.
This accounts for some 39% of all products with a disclosed molecular target and is reflective of the high degree of innovation in this indication. This has far-reaching strategic implications for all market participants, as, despite the high attrition rate in breast cancer, it is highly likely many of the first-in-class technologies will reach the market over the coming decade and may transform the clinical and commercial landscape.
Alignment of First-in-Class Molecular Target with Disease Causation
One of the key trends in oncology and in breast cancer in particular over the last decade is the clinical and commercial impact of targeted therapies designed to target proteins in signaling pathways that are frequently mutated in a significant proportion of the patient population. By aligning the molecular targets for therapeutic intervention with disease causation and/or propagation, these therapies limit the systemic cytotoxic effects whilst inhibiting tumor-promoting signaling pathways. Such strategies thereby typically achieve superior efficacy and safety profiles.
Our proprietary analyses demonstrate significant levels of differentiation as to how well the first-in-class products and their respective molecular targets align to underlying gene and protein level mutations and dysfunction. More advanced analytics further substantiated these findings as strong levels of differentiation in the scientific and clinical rationale for first-in-class molecular targets emerged. Furthermore, clear frontrunners were identified by integrating analyses to assess the accessibility of molecular targets for therapeutic compounds, the size of the target patient population that would benefit from therapeutic intervention, and the expected positioning of the first-in-class products based on the molecular targets and mechanisms of action of currently marketed products.
These insights and a detailed review of the available evidence from scientific studies substantiate the perspective that first-in-class-product technology in its own right is not sufficient to offer a compelling scientific and clinical rationale. However, a range of products offer very significant scientific and clinical promise and could therefore result in a strong commercial proposition with the prospect of clinically and commercially transformative products in the future.

A Highly Active Deals Landscape with Numerous Investment Opportunities
The breast cancer deals landscape is highly dynamic, with both deal number and aggregate value exceeding industry benchmarks, reflecting the large and highly competitive marketed and pipeline product environments. Moreover, with 40 first-in-class products that are currently in development having been involved in a licensing or co-development deal, the capital being committed to breast cancer partnership deals is not limited to products with established mechanisms of action in the marketed product landscape. On the contrary, breakthrough innovations are highly desirable as an investment option. Analysis shows that the licensing deal values can exceed the mean and median deal values for licensing deals in Phase I, II and III, suggesting that premium deals can be achieved by smaller firms with the capacity to advance strong products to one of the clinical stages of development. However, most deals involving first-in-class products were either preclinical or Phase I development, whereas advance-in-class and addition-to-class product deals were typically made in Phases II and III, therefore showing significant differentiation. These findings have significant strategic implications for both biotech companies seeking to out-license products and firms with an interest in in-licensing first-in-class products with strong clinical and commercial prospects.
With the remaining 213 first-in-class products that are currently in development having not yet been involved in a licensing or co-development deal, there are numerous opportunities for in-licensing or co-development in this indication, which already has a strong track record of breakthrough innovation yielding highly commercially and clinically successful therapies. Although many act on targets that are not yet strongly substantiated in terms of their therapeutic potential in breast cancer in clinical studies, there are many which are supported by very robust and promising in vivo and in vitro preclinical evidence, and as such are highly promising breast cancer therapies.
