The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with server makers. The report finds that shipment volume of the Taiwanese server system and motherboard industries declined 5.7% sequentially and 9.5% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2015, reaching around 1.88 million units, mainly due to delayed launch of Intel's new server chips. Other than traditional contract manufacturing services for server brands, Taiwanese makers' shipment share for white-box clients is estimated to break 20% in 2015, thanks to the growing white-box server orders. In the second quarter of 2015, the industry's shipment volume and value is projected to have witnessed 5% and 5.4% sequential growth, respectively.
